A soft, dry cloth should be used to wipe them so that they become smooth. It should not be stored in direct sunlight and heat, as that may destroy the biodegradable PLA. Wear is also verified in no submersion of water.

Ages 3 years and above. Cuts into small pieces; it is indicated that it needs to be supervised by an adult. Should not be applied to children below the age of 3 years because it can lead to choking.
